Our Team

Dr. Kara Ericksen, with her husband Dr. Matt Ericksen, founded All-Star Animal Hospital in July of 2004. She has an extensive background in veterinary emergency medicine and internal medicine. She has a special interest in senior pet care, dentistry, and obesity management.

Dr. Ericksen is a proud mom with two daughters. Her furry family also includes three dogs. She is an avid sports fan and collects sports memorabilia, much of which decorates the All-Star office.

Dr. Matt Ericksen graduated in 1996 from the same veterinary college as his wife, Dr. Kara Ericksen, and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Arizona since 1997  Dr. Matt Ericksen has a special interest in surgery and exotics species. Over the years they have owned many exotics including, lizards, snakes, guinea pigs, and even a hedgehog. While the Ericksen’s both have veterinary experience with exotics, they personally see the benefit of a specialized exotic veterinarian and will often refer clients with exotic pets to them as needed.

Dr. Matt Ericksen is an avid outdoorsman and loves just about any activity that occurs in the open air whether it be golfing, hiking, or camping.

Dr. Kristen Macey has been practicing veterinary medicine in Arizona since 2004 when she graduated from Washington State University. She has an extensive background in emergency medicine and special interests include pain management and senior care. Dr. Macey is married with two kids and shares her home with many rescued pets. When she has time off, she enjoys being outdoors with her family.
